SILENT AUCTION 2008

Welcome to the Youth Service Network

The Youth Service Network, organized in 2001, is a coalition of agencies, providers, organizations and family members of Flathead County whose intent it is to better serve the vulnerable youth of our community. There are similar groups in many counties of Montana that came into being as part of a state wide effort to enhance and expand the System of Care through increasing the quality of collaboration and thus significantly decreasing the need for out of home or out of community care for our youth.

 

The Youth Service Network functions in three important ways;

  • It has created a forum to enhance cross agency communication, training and understanding through the monthly meetings held on the 4th Monday of each month at noon at the Summit

  • It has created a legal mechanism and framework (The Child Information Team Agreement) that enables Network members to come together to strategize about the needs and appropriate services of specific youth

  • It is a mechanism to communicate with similar county organizations and with the State of Montana about the needs of the youth in Flathead County and to plan for an effective System of Care for all youth

This web site is intended to provide the community with needed information about the Youth Service Network, the Child Information Team, services available in the community and to provide a convenient method of accessing the YSN Newsletter and details about upcoming meetings, trainings, and conferences that youth service providers, community and family members may find of interest.

 

Youth Service Network Meetings are held on the fourth Monday of each month (except December) at the Summit at 12 noon. All are welcome!
